I work on a Blackberry help desk and we get this situation a lot. I am resorting to you all for your awesome expertise and help.

    Scenario:
    User's wireless is turned off
user cannot remember password to unlock blackberry to turn on wireless on so we can send them a password reset from BES server.

pulling the battery(reset) does not turn the wireless on when it reboots. Besides dialing 911, which will turn wireless on, is there a keypad shortcut of somesort to turn wireless on without entering the password (without wiping...last resort)?

As far as I know if the password is set in the BB and then forgotten you are out of luck. It will be necessary to wipe the device. I hope your people do a backup on a regular basis. With that done when the BB is wiped the data can be restored to the BB.
