I wiped my Tour and when it rebooted it presented me with a message indicating something along the lines of:

"there are contacts saved on your sim card would you like to copy these to the device?" I selected No.

1.) What does it mean by there are contacts saved? Can these be retrieved by someone when I send the BB back to VZW?

2.) Is there anything else saved to the sim card?

    Thanks.

Your contacts are names and phone numbers you saved to the SIM card.

I thought Verizon phones didn't have SIM cards, though.

Yeah, you can delete them off your sim card.

How do you delete them off the sim card?

I already wiped the Tour and though that would have gotten rid of everything. I need to send it back to VZW tomorrow so I am just trying to figure out how to get the data off of the sim card now.

    Thanks.

I am not sure if that is an option, and now, I restored everything onto my new Tour, so even if I swapped the cards, the sim card that I would swap with my old one now has my data on it too.

Very few do, and the cards have limited power - least in the states. (so I'm told)

Go to your address book and hit the menu button. Then go to your sim address book. You can manually delete each number off.

so is the address book the only thing I need to be concerned with having things saved to the sim card?

From what I know, the sim card can only save numbers. 250 of them.
