Newby here, I have done the wipe on my 8530, but it does not remove the telephone number. Any tips appreciated. A7

The phone number is programmed into the phone. A wipe will not clear than information. Only way is to contact your carrier and try to get the Master Subsidy Lock (MSL) code, then reprogram the phone number to something else and save the changes.

I was afraid of that, was going to sell phone, guess I will use it as a app player. TNX for the speedy reply........

Try typing ##000000 enter

Sometimes it works depending on your carrier

You can still sell the phone. Once the new owner activates it, your number will disappear. It is like this with all CDMA phones I believe.
