Hello, after searching around and googling, I am hrd pressed to find an answer to some trouble I am having getting a client's BB to connect to an SBS 2008 exchange server using BIS. Rim has escalated this to it's engineer team, but I figured I would pose this to the CB community as well...

we just migrated a client to a new SBS 2008, and after doing so have been completely unable to get the device to connect to the exchange mailbox through BIS.

I have entered the servere info correctly, and even tried to get access using the new OWA login, but the connection timmes out. According to RIM the BIS connects but the connection is immediately dropped causing this issue.

Has anyone else out there had issues trying to get email hooked up between BIS and a new 2008 server, and if so what did you have to do to get it working right?

anyone have an answer for me at all???

Just to update what has been going on, RIM has this narrowed down to us finding out if WebDav and EWS (exchange web services) are configured correctly, but stopped short of telling me what the configurations should be.

to my knowledge, these need only be enabled but that was in 2003 server platforms. now is it any different for 2008 with exchaqnge 2007?

Just wondering if you have gotten anywhere. I too have a client running SBS 2008 and Exchange 2007. Their blackberries were working fine until this weekend. I can no longer get them to authenticate. RIM has told me my clients EWS is messed up, they can not connect to EWS from blackberry land. Funny how I am able to get to the ews page from several different companies.

Just wondering if anyone had a solution to this problem. I'm having the exact same issue with one of our Exchange 2007 servers. The funny thing is, we manage 3 different Exchange 2007 servers at different locations and on different domains. 2 of the 3 servers work fine (IE a Blackberry using BIS can connect to an email acct on them), but the third one will not. I've checked every setting I can find to no avail. RIM says that it's something with EWS but I can't find any issue and they can't tell me where to look.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Chris
