I am not concerned about Windows8 phones. you should not be either, and the **** about the sideloading... come on. It is getting old.

The option isn't solely available to devs though. It's a built in allowance for pirated app use, and the users do exactly that. If they wanted well done apps for their platform, they could have gone the route MS did.

I disagree with that as a generalization. I have a number of android ports on my Z10 and most work well. The worst of the bunch is the CNN app. The Kindle app is fine. I've had no problems with Waze. Upvise works fine. There are more but, as I say, the only one that really stands out as laggy and slow is CNN.

Have you actually used kindle app on am android device? On my wife's nexus 7 it's smooth and silky. On my Q10 it's jittery and sluggish.
