For critical Apps that windows and BlackBerry are missing they should ask developers to make good quality HTML5 apps rather than endlessly waiting for native.
Basically work together....everyone wins...Developers don't have to make two separate apps and both Windows and BlackBerry close one more step on App gap against IOS and Android.
As both platforms gain more traction they can convince developers to go native.
Same could be done for Bank Apps.

Imstagram won't do it, they want to control their app. This is also why they don't have an API for posting photos.

    Well Gmail/Gmaps now has a HTML5 app.

Only thing is, if they can make GPS work with it, that'd be awesome.

They have always had it. GPS also works with Maps, at least on iPhone. That was the temporary solution from Google before they re-introduced native Maps to the App Store.

Here's the thing. The native apps are a generational improvement over the HTML apps for both Gmail and Maps. Nobody uses the HTML apps unless they are forced to for whatever reason.
