This is my amateurish model of Blackberry Q30 based on leaked pictures and info of the so called Blackberry Windermere. It features 4'' display (1:1 ratio, just like the one on the leaked device). The new touch-sensitive keyboard consists of 3 lines but I guess you could easily build in this body the fourth line if the original concept of the keyboard turned out to be inefficient after testing. Despite dimensions of 120 x 77 x 10 mm it still fits in the palm pretty much as you can see in the picture. Some folks would probably complain about the 1:1 ratio of the display but this way it balances the whole smartphone and while holding your device in one hand you can still touch any area of the display and keyboard with your thumb which is pretty handy (I guess it wouldn't be much balanced with long rectangular displays that we see in all those fancy qwerty concepts nowadays and you would hardly operate such devices with just one thumb). Leaked information talked about Blackberry thinking about letting users run two apps on screen simultaneously side by side. I measured the heigth of my blackberry curve 9320 display and the heigth of this concept and I found out that it is exactely twice the size of the old curve which would work for two apps running under each other which would be sweet and the first true multi-tasking on the Blackberry device. Let me know guys what you think of this concept device.

    I like this.

I disliked the Q10's small screen so this is a big improvement. And no 'belt' or 'touchpad', that's good in my book.

bbslovakia, thank you for image of the concept in your hand. I was about to say it is too big. The hand image ended that thought.

I like the size of the screen from several points of view. The side-by-side app application makes sense. The idea of a big square screen for those complaining about the Q5/Q10 sizes also works.

This concept works better for me than the Z30 which is too big for my pockets.

Well I see that most people that complain about 1:1 ratio display say it is not suitable for most of the android apps but with display this big couldn't be this issue solved with a software solution? I mean, the software would recognize sideloaded app and then the app would automatically use just a part of the display in lets say 16:9 ratio and the rest of the screen would be black just like it works on TV screen with different formats of movies and so on.

Recently Samsung Galaxy 5 Android has added fingerprint scanner security feature. Next generation trackpad should also have some kind security feature that's so easy and practical. BlackBerry must keep up. Do not remove features from BlackBerry predecessor, Improve hardware and software when possible. Ex: removable battery

We all know by now android security is a gimmick. With phones getting smarter and all your info on your phone, Nobody would willingly bent over and get */$:$ by Hackers. And others like Boeing security phone. They are trying to take BlackBerry Market in security. Just read what slipped out of Google Android CEO:

Google Android chief Sundar Pichai says Android not designed to be safe

    Nice job.

This is a great size for an updated physical Qwerty keypad handset.

I have a feeling that Windermere will be a turning point for the overall perception of BlackBerry physical Qwerty handsets for public and enterprise alike.

Not a fan of this one. I personally think it seems kinda clunky and boxy. Doesn't look like a modern design at all. Brings up too many thoughts of BlackBerry is old dead and outdated.

I like it. I really hope that the gestureable keyboard becomes a reality.

Well if these are the dimensions of a 4inch display Q-series phone then why not? It's still very compact and actually I love it.

Because it might be a German Keyboard. They use the "Z" more than the "Y". It's like us, we use the "Y" more than the "Z". Do you understand?
