Let's just say it may not be what you expect, but it will be amazing to use.

I believe a keyboard centric approach moving forward is the wrong move. BlackBerry needs to stay relevant and be innovative if it wants to survive. The vast majority of consumers do not want Qwerty phones anymore. The market has spoken and all touch devices are the way forward. I believe blackberry needs to offer a balanced device offering. The Z lineup is awesome and developing an amazing powerhouse of a phone like a Z50 that people can't ignore, or mock, is the first step to turning BlackBerry around. IMHO

I thought they gave up on consumers for now? Although I do believe that enterprise are also consumers and think BYOD proves that when almost no one chooses to BYOD a BB. Must be the old guards is all.

Well, I'm sure it will wow BlackBerry devotees, but it also has to interest all consumers and, more importantly spark the markets....

A 5" square device would be great as a slider... very compact but with a large screen. I can see that working very well if it's designed well (i.e. if BlackBerry listens to ME).

I am going to make a mockup of this device using two CD jewel cases and some duct tape. I doubt it will fit comfortably in the front pocket of my jeans.

cd jewel case is 5x5 and 5/8ths so this is what a 5 inch square slider would look like.
Assuming a 1/4 inch bezel all the way around this phone would have a screen size of 6.4 inches diagonal.
I think you will recognize the object that I included for scale.
