Never had a phone with wifi before but I'm planning to get the Tour with wifi in the future. I'm wondering if the wifi will help improve voice signal. I get really horrible signal when I'm in the basement. Whenever somebody calls me I either don't receive the call or do and when I do, the voice is very choppy and we're barely able to hear what the other person is saying. Texting and anything data related works fine but slow at times.
I have the D-Link DIR-655 router.
I don't know D-Link DIR-655 but in general almost all wi-fi enabled routers will work with UMA without special config. You just turning Wi-Fi in your BB, connecting to Wi-Fi router and voila... UMA service will start automatically...
