I played around with a Bold 9700 and I like the feel and form factor of the original 9000 more. The 9700 is just too small for my liking. So, we will ever see such a Bold device again?
I think RIM should have branded the 9700 as a curve, but that is of course a personal opinion and by no means an attack on your 9700 lovers out there
I agree. I love the feel and look of a 9000, but a lot of people have complained about the size. I think that the 9700 should have had the chrome sides like the 9000 and it would have been perfect. Being I'm on vzw, I've never had the chance to have my own 9000.
If they make a Blackberry phone as small as a HTC touchscreen phone, it will fail. At this stage of the game, I don't think anyone wants to go back to using stylus pens or some substitute (because you always lose the stylus) just to click a little box that won't recognize your finger. The bigger is always better, in more ways than one....especially when it comes to touch screen phones.
I have very large hands and have found switching from the 9000 to the 9700 isn't bad but I wish they updated the 9000 form factor instead. When you put the 9000 on a table it just has a presence that the 9700 doesn't have. I miss the screen size, presence, and keyboard of the 9000 but the 9700 rocks! The 9700 has an awesome camera, trackpad, and more memory but if they bring back the 9000 form factor with better features I would grab it in a second.
