Sorry but there are two mobile operating systems that have survived the Smartphone Wars. In the end the OS didn't matter is was the PLATFORM, which included content and apps. BlackBerry built a great product... but it's like inventing a motorcycle, before there where wheels or fossil fuels.

I see what you're saying. But my point is that I don't think BB10 would've beaten Android or Ios. But I definitely think if they would've market it better with products, more flagship stores around the country, more commercial ads, etc. They would've played a major role in being the 3rd wheel probably bigger than Microsoft.

Many say the biggest issue was timing... that if BB10 had launched in 2008 then we'd still be using it. And it's is possible that would have happened. But ultimately BlackBerry was slow in their development, and their hardware cost were higher.... they might have held on better to the business side of things, but ultimate their consumer business would have disappeared. They would have become a niche player, and good chance that those developers that did support them would have left anyway by 2013. In the end I just don't think developers wanted to have to support multiple platforms - but neither are they interested in HTML5 and platformless apps.

Like some others I thought this was a resurrected post until I opened it and saw it was from just a couple days ago.

I love bb10 too but I have to be real. That ship has sailed, and sunk. And, for a myriad of reasons repeatedly discussed here, it's not coming back no matter how much I and many others may want it to.
