What is the difference betwen the WiFi and just the regular browser? Do I really need the WiFi option on my BB?

Wifi enables you to pick up your home internet and have your BlackBerry browser to run faster. It's your choice to use the option but it does boost your browser speed.

Wifi is a nice option to have as it allows faster data transfer. And yeah, you'd need the 8530, Storm 2, of as yet released Tour 2, for the Wifi functionality.

Sometimes travel takes us to places where ATT coverage is poor. If WiFi is available surfing continues.

If you have VZW and a Wi-Fi capable device, you can connect to the Wi-Fi for data and be able to talk on the phone at the same time while you browse the Web.

I prefer UMA/WiFi over 3G. Granted I've only been in a 3G area twice since I adopted my 9700, but I'm not impressed with 3G speed at all.

For some reason my house is a dead spot, barely get 3G every now and then. I have to use the WiFi signal from my router. I dont mind though...WiFi flies compared to 3G.

Most of the time the WiFi areas destroy 3g speeds....anywhere from 600-1800kbps with WiFi.

Best thing with WiFi, turn off the radio, is even faster then having both on

Thank You all for the input! Just to clarify... I am aware that my 8330 does not have the WiFi option. We are looking to upgrade and trying to decide if we want to go with the Curve 8530 or the Tour and that was one major difference I had seen between the two.
    Again, Thank You all!
