    so i had a question could there ever be an os update that would have wifi on it for are storm 1 or are we gonna have to wait for the storm 2?
    Any ideas ?

    Wifi requires hardware that is not present in the Storm 1. No OS upgrade can enable what does not exist, so no OS upgrade can add wifi to the original Storm.

    You would need a 9500 Storm to have wifi. The one on verizon is the 9530

    The 9500 does not have wifi. The only difference from the 9500 and the 9530 is the radio hardware.

    I thought it had WiFi. I wonder what the difference between the two are then.

    He already told you. Difference in radio hardware. 9500 is straight GSM. 9530 is CDMA & GSM.
