Routers do go bad, as always, I am a big fan of the Tmo@home routers. All my wifi problems went away forever once I brought it home. Restarted my router once in 8 months!

If http://forums.crackberry.com/f3/comp...ifi-how-47229/ does not help... then I'd consider a new router... I like Linksys routers myself... and yes, they do go bad... after all it is just hardware and some firmware.

My LinkSys router is so old the color has faded! And, it works reliably day in, day out. I've never bothered updating the firmware on it because it works so well the way it is. When I wanted to add WiFi to my network, I bought a LinkSys Wireless Access Point instead of buying a new wireless router, and it has continued to operate without failure. I've never had a problem with UMA from the day I brought my beloved 8900 home -- I just had to enter the security passcode into the BB, and it was on-line in the matter of seconds....

Have you sent service books recently? That might help.

Any of the WRT line from Linksys will work. I use 3 different ones at different locations and each one is perfect. I use:

    1. WRT310
    2. WRT110
    3. WRT54GS
