Wifi Problem
I've had my curve 8320 for a while and I use T-Mobile's Hotspot @Home service for signal because I have no service at my house. Today my bb says SOS at the top for service, but my wifi is working fine on my laptop. I've tried pulling the battery and nothing. Any suggestions??

Is your wifi icon white? This happened to me the other day for about an hour. I know it wasnt just my phone cus all 3 of my curves did it.

You're not receiving a UMA signal from T-Mobile through your wireless router. I have the same problem in Montgomery, Alabama. Started yesterday afternoon. Was working fine this morning, but now the UMA signal has disappeared again. We have two BB Curve 8320 and they have worked fine on the wireless for the past year. I get no signal phone signal at my home either, that's why we use the wireless.
When we first got the phones this happened also. T-Mobile denied and denied it was their problem, but soon were forced to fix it when they had so many complaints.
I think you'll see more of these postings. I have rebooted by network and phone. I'm connected to network, but no UMA signal.

I also live in sub 1 bar service area and depend on UMA for service.
You mention the SOS, that means your celluar radio is off. They will do that if the power in the battery drops too low.
Turn it back on with: Connections / Mobile Network enable.
If you have had service previously and nothing has changed on your BlackBerry, the fault is most likely with your carrier.
There are Wifi and UMA diagnostics included in your BlackBerry:
Connections / Wifi Options. Menu / Wifi Diagnostics.
If your connection to Wifi is correct, you will see two green check marks or an error message if there is a problem. Scroll down to UMA, there should also be two green checkmarks or an error message.
If there is an UMA error message, it is your carriers issue. When I has happened to me, I have spent hours on the phone trying to get through to UMA support and they confirm that everything is correct on their end.
A few moments later, it enabled UMA again.

No UMA connection in managing connections, and under Blackberry Infrastructure, no green "X". This is a T-Mobile problem. It's happened before.
When you call they'll try and say it's a problem with your phone, operating system or network, but don't believe it. It's their problem.
When they start getting lots of calls, they finally realize they need to check their end. Usually takes just a few minutes to get it back up and running.
You would think someone would monitor this more closely. It stinks to be dependent on UMA for connectivity from home.
