My moms new bold (less than a month old) connects to a wireless router and says it's conected but when she uses the internet it's still on edge and the wifi logo dose not light up. If the wifi on the phone bad?

On my blackberry 8900 it connects and works fine.

Its grayed out but it does connect to the network(Wi-Fi).

I turned of the network(AT&T) and it connected to the Wi-Fi Network but i don't understand why it would still be grayed out.

Send service books from BIS and see if that cures it. If not let us know and we'll try other methods.

Try disabling the security on the router and see if that works. Then work from there. Otherwise, batt pull, service books, Hotspot Login, Start BB Connection, reregister Host Routing Table option tends to work...
