WiFi Connectivity Issue...
I recently purchased my BlackBerry Curve 8900 and seem to be having connectivity issues at home with WiFi. My phone clearly says it's connected (wifi box is black & white, green checkbox with solid antenna), but my internet speed is very slow.
I am able to connected to a wifi network at my office, and the phone runs smoothly and quickly.
Before purchasing my Curve, I used an iPhone and it worked perfectly on my home system, and my laptop runs with great speed. I've spoken to T-Mobile's service department, as well as Comcast regarding my internet speeds. Everything seems clear on their end. I even had the Curve and SIM card replaced, thinking it might be part of the problem. Still nothing.
My wifi network consists of an Apple Time Machine powering my MacBook, printer, and Curve 8900. The only one with a problem is my phone. Speed tests through an app from BlackBerry App World shows download speeds of 20-30 kbs, while I can reach nearly 200 at the office.
Any suggestions? I'm at a loss.
