I have a BlackBerry Bold 9930 on the Verizon Wireless network. LOVE IT!!

I am traveling internationally a little now (Europe, China, Taiwan, Korea, Canada) and I NEED to be able to make calls over WiFi or internet. $2 a minute on roaming doesn't work for me!! T-mobile offers a WiFi call service but VZW doesn't seem to. I love Skype but it doesn't seem to work outside America...

Does anyone have any clues how to unlocking Skype overseas OR alternate apps/solutions for WiFi/VOIP calls? I heard something about a November software release that will open up something on the 9930's but I fear that is only on the T-Mobile network.....?

I called Verizon and they were their usual unhelpful/clueless selves.

    Please help!!

the TMO wifi calling is UMA, and GSM specific so that will never be on the 9930.

Skype on the VZ 9930 is not VoIP as it requires a calling gateway.. there have been a number of sip clients and rash of voip releases on app worls but so far i have not found a working wifi calling voip solution for sprint/vz 9930
