I wish Sprint had gotten the 9810. :'(

I bought my 9810 unlocked direct from Amazon for the same reason. I'm super happy with it, to the point that the "professional reviews" of it are completely out of whack with my experience from starting to use it to now 6 months later.

IMO the 9810 is either one of the best kept secrets of 2011, or proof of "professional reviewer" bias.

I think for the best BB expeirence you want a touch screen, a physical keyboard, and BB7. That limits you to 3 main phones, the 9900/9930 (same phone), the 9810, and the 9790. I think the best of those 3 in my opinion is the 9900/9930, it has the a bigger screen than the 9790, while still being fairly compact (smaller than the 9810), and while the other 2 DO have autofocus cameras, the fixed focus camera on the 9900/9930 IS pretty good. And the keyboard is the best of the 3 in my opinion. Plus it comes in a GSM 9900 model AND a CDMA 9930 model so no matter where you are in the world or who your carrier is they most likely offer the 9900 or the 9930. The same can not be said of the other 2.

From the 2 people that I know who have it, they live it.
But you confused me, did you buy the 9810 to use on Sprint? Lol.

depends on your usage requirements, but my Torch 9810 has a large screen, keyboard slider, and cost my $0.

It is super fast and latest OS 7.

Don't confuse with 9800... that looks the same but slower, OS6 and screen not as good.

for all-around good phone with nice media consumption and reading (due to bigger screen and speed) I vote Torch 9810 (if you can still get it!)

and it is free on most contracts!
