Why? Why use a BlackBerry in 2014?
- So you're saying not the longer recording time.. not the comparable quality.. not the price (among other strategic moves) BUT porn was responsible for VHS winning the format wars. This changes everything....I should be responsible and write to the guy who wrote the HBR case study. He clearly got it wrong.
VHS beat BETA (only in USA, most countries in EU still kept using BETA) and some countries had both, we used to ask our friends if they got "big tape or small tape" before renting videos. And let me tell you, most shops around where I lived had lots of porn in Betamax. Who watched a full featured porn flick anyway? I bet even directors don't watch them.
Back to what he means:
VHS beat BETA
??
So, do people buy Z10 instead of Q10 because they can watch porn in full screen without bars?04-17-14 12:57 PMLike 0 - 04-17-14 03:29 PMLike 1

- Blackberry is awesome. It has the fastest keyboard (did anyone see the Czech video????), the best email, the best hub, the best productivity tools, the best browser, the best camera. Can the iPhone do all this with the iPhone 5s? it's not like they can open presentations using the PowerPoint App or Excel App or have office 365. I also don't think they have school specific apps on their platform either. Who needs those when you have a browser.
My Blackberry is the best. it's for people who want to be productive and not just play Subway Surfer.

Iphone has every important school/professional specific app there is, and certainly beats BlackBerry in this category. Obviously you don't use iphone or you would know these basic facts. Additionally, I am far more productive on my iphone than my q10 because the q10 still does not have the apps I need that work perfectly, even with the updated OS. Yes- who needs apps when the browser is so popular. That should be the next commercial for BlackBerry...

- Nope, the BlackBerry Z30 is far more advanced than an iPhone. The Z30 has a much bigger screen, four surround-sound speakers, great wind-baffling mics, a USB port, a HDMI port for hooking up to a monitor or smart TV, as well as both Blue Tooth and MiraCast capability. The Z30 Also has BlackBerry's fantastic message "hub," as well as an amazing keyboard with both auto correct and predictive text with which you can simply "flick" words and phrases into place in multiple languages. The iPhone has NONE of these capabilities.

The Z30 was one of the first to have ALL Advanced features, including a bigger 5" AMOLED screen, large long lasting battery, four surround-sound speakers, great wind-baffling mics, a USB port, a HDMI port for hooking up to a monitor or smart TV, as well as Blue Tooth, NFC, and MiraCast capability. It has a Paratek antenna so it never drops a signal. It has an FM radio. I can use the Z30 with many different kinds of files; I can edit Word and Excel docs, download Android apps, and sync all my Apple iTunes music. The Z30 also has BlackBerry's fantastic message "hub," as well as an amazing keyboard with both auto correct and predictive text with which you can simply "flick" words and phrases into place in multiple languages. The Z30 has a solid build with Gorilla Glass screen, aluminum frame and carbon fibre back. There is no other device with all these capabilities. The iPhone looks like a silly little toy along side the BlackBerry Z30.

With the exception of one, possibly two things in your post there are other devices that have all of those things.
I hate to say it but if the Z30 "IS the best device for EVERYONE" then why isn't it selling?04-17-14 07:06 PMLike 0 - Actually, I spent months trying all models of phones available before I decided on the Z30. The reason it's not selling as well is because of the intense marketing by Apple and Samsung.. Most humans base consumer decisions on emotion, not reason.

The inability or unwillingness of consumers to understand these facts is yet another sign of the decline and moral degeneration of humanity. Our inability to deal with climate change, urbanization, collapsing infrastructure, rising obesity, concentration of wealth, failing democracy, as well as a refusal to acknowledge the greatness and supremacy of the BlackBerry Z30 are all evidence of the self-destructive path humanity has chosen. We are doomed.

As I said before, with the exception of one, possibly two things in your post there are other devices that have all of those things. Those "other devices" have had those features long before the Z30 even existed. The only place that BlackBerry takes it is the keyboard and even that's been beaten for speed in a world record by the WP8.1 keyboard. The "hub" is debatable as it's really just a notification centre, which ALL phones have now anyway.
In the end it comes down to personal preference not emotion!!!04-17-14 07:29 PMLike 0 - I don't know why some people will say IOS devices or Androids are toys or whatever they are not. I'm probably the biggest BlackBerry fan in the world and I am happy the way my BlackBerry devices serve me but I also have access to other devices and see and help people to be more productive with their choices.
Every device has strengths and weaknesses, all of them have their shortcomings and as well specialties.
Everyone use their device differently for different purposes, and there is a device which best suits each need.
BlackBerry is best for me just as something else is best for someone else, it's life and it's ok

- Every phone has it strengths and weaknesses. I have had so many phones it is not funny. For me I chose the Q10.
I choose the Q10 for me works best. For me. No one device is the best. Each device works best for someone whether it be a BlackBerry,iPhone,Android or whatever else. Let's just enjoy our phones and be thankful we have a great place like Crackberry and the Mobile Nations to voice our concerns or praises with those who enjoy the same.
Posted via CB1004-17-14 09:57 PMLike 0 - Well, the Z30 may or may not be the best for everyone. One thing is for certain. BB10 is extremely young and has the potential to fly by all others in the next year or so. Even though I'm a huge BlackBerry fan and I'm completely biased, this is a huge possibility that no one with any smarts can deny.

- I think the new BB10 devices help you get more done during the day period! I can really use my phone for most of my job's daily task with out having the need to use a pc and for me that's amazing, simply put I stay moving a head.goku_vegeta likes this.04-17-14 11:44 PMLike 1
