I am in the UK with O2. Skype does not work on my mobile and there is no app for my blackberry tablet... very disappointing... things are not improving on the apps market. I believe Iphone and Ipad are looking better and better eventhough i hate Apple. Any suggestions on when this will be enable for both mobile and tablet?
I doubt you'll see skype on mobile Blackberry's til BB10 is released, and maybe not even then. I'm guessing Skype hasn't felt the need to develop for Blackberry yet, since they don't have front facing camera's, and the Playbook was underwhelming in sales.
:confused: I had Skype on my 9650 and, on my 9930 for VZW...
Dude, don't hold your breath it isn't even available on windows mobile 7 and it's a microsoft product! I hung-on to my WM7 phone for over a year and finally chucked it and went to the Droid phone!

sorry, I haven't gotten the hang of screen shots yet, it is skype moble 1.4.0.7 from skype technologies
Seems it's mostly Verizon and some of it's BB models that will support Skype. Not sure if other carriers offer it or not, although i'm pretty sure in Canada it's not offered either.

If any UK carrier gets it, I'd expect it to be Vodafone, since they own 40% of VZW.
Yeah, it is ridiculous in 2012, BlackBerry has no Skype, no Tango, no Talkatone....
Apparently Verizon BB customers have Skype exclusivity, and US Customers may be able to use Google Voice for Canada-US calling.
Very poor of Skype to make a deal with a couple of carriers to make it an exclusive thing.
I could be wrong, but I believe Skype made the deal with VZW before Skype got bought out by Microsoft.
True, it did. But that does change anything to the situation where Skype basically gave the finger to the rest of the users, because some carriers wanted an exclusive?
