Kevin and BB fans, Please ask BB when the version is released that can be used and targeting over 200 million users why BB did not release the PR to let everyone know, especially potential investors. Is marketing department sleeping ? I think it is big step as 21% of Anroid users still runs gingerbread.

Not really sure what you mean, you don't really need a press release for that. They put it on their official blog, it was covered across several Android and BlackBerry sites. What exactly would posting a press release do that the internet hasn't already done?

Peevish, what have we told you about virtual space last time? Stalking is not something that is okay to do

My understanding is that Gingerbread compatible BBM will be available in BB blog. BB blogs are read by die hard fans or CB fans, not average user/investor would be spending times on these sites like we do. When the company releases new release that hits over 200 million users should not it have official press release as it does for other updates. Just keep itself in the news, marketing reasons, change the perception that BB has changed and delivering on it's promises, etc.

They can't really boast about what's supposed to be a development runtime as a "feature", can they? According to Kevin in the last podcast, many of these apps are broken anyway. That's only gonna **** people off.

I don't think you understand how press releases work. I think what you're referring to is a consumer email blast, wherein they email customers. That's not the same as a press release. All in the wording, good sir.
