[CrackBerry Question]

Today its 3rd day and my phone is still on process to wipe. its showing 99% on the screen. its too much irritating now. and yes i want to mention that before starting wipe i deleted all the photos , contacts , massages , mails , other accounts , cleared all browsing history , deleted all deletable apps. and also removed sim card and memory card. afterwords it might be using less then 7gb of space(not sure) on phone. and its continuosly on charge from 3days.. so do guys have any idea that what should i do ? i dont have any other phone to use too. kindly help. thanks

This happens to me every time I give my device a factory reset.

What I do is I restart the device by holding the power button on top. Start it up again, and it'll begin from 1%, but it'll always end up finishing properly.

@jambueree yes. i did the same. and surprisingly the wipe completed within 10 minutes or less maybe.. btw thanks

How much time it will take to reset my data .I done a secutity wipe to reset my data.Then it is taking 23 hrs and showing98% whether it will work or not .Try to solve my pro.

Mine i had it at 99% complete for 5 days. In the end i restarted the device plugged to my pc using the BB link software and i performed a OS software reload and it worked.

I gave my 9780 to a friend yesterday and the entire Security Wipe took about 35 minutes.

Everybody and their dog has tried to explain that UNLESS you don't have a PC, just forget about the agony and frustration that is the Security Wipe. If you do a search on CB there are scores of threads about this stupid process. There, rant finished! Sorry! Lol

Security wipe has been flawed for quite some time, shouldn't be such an ordeal, but like a few others have said connect to link and reload. If you can't, hold your power button til it starts over and good luck
