What I really want in my q30

The "same" keyboard of the q10

A 4 inch screen (pixels, full hd, all can take a hike. I just want a bigger screen to read efficiently, nothing fancy)

    A large, huuuggeee battery

A phone that isn't too heavy considering the demands I'm making

Apps that are focused on increasing my productivity (read: I want google now and google maps and google docs)

Apps that make full use of my keyboard and have their own shortcuts

    A trackpad

    A better contacts app

Ability to set ringtones based on contact (hub++ free for all)

A less laggy OS (I can't tolerate when my screen hangs sometimes on receiving text and whatsapp)

An option to remove the close (X) button on the active frames so that I don't close those apps by mistake when they are in active frames

Ability to decide what tabscan go in my hub (I don't want facebook in my hub) including news and also data from apps (such as a trigger from stocks when my desired stocks hit certain levels and that comes to me in the HUB)

I don't want a beautiful, ultra thin phone, although I wouldn't mind. But the above items are things that MATTER THE MOST TO MOST BlackBerry USERS

They were against them because BlackBerry didn't have them.....

Its like when everyone said that 1GB was all the memory that an optimized OS should need.... but because the Z10 launched with 2GB they now think that is a great thing. They forget that 1 GB would have been better for power usage or that the requirement of 2GB indicates that the OS is not very optimized (especially seeing that Kit-Kat can run on 512MB of RAM and seems to offer more features).
Well the added ram plays more of a role than just for an optimized OS, it goes deeper than that. Plus it is better to have something and not need it, then need it and not have it. Yes BB doesn't *Need* 1080p displays, but you can definitely notice a difference between it and 720p especially on 5" screens. Also the better processors not only add more power under the hood, but they are also more power efficient to help with battery life.

Because they are new and shiny and one of the great pleasures of hanging out in these forums is to speculate about what's coming next. The Z30 was a disappointment in my book and if Blackberry cannot keep up with the competition it is a really big deal to enthusiasts. What comes next really matters.
I got myself a Z30 and I can honestly say that it is the best phone I've seen in ages. Bought my wife a Galaxy S4 and that thing doesn't even come close to this. My honest opinion and I respect yours.

Increased hardware specs don't do much for me; as long as the device doesn't slow down or lag, and has a decent enough screen I'm content. (It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to continue to increase resolutions when you can't see a single pixel anymore. It's like putting something side by side and saying "You can't actually see a difference, but this one has a better display.")

That said, I am glad to see BlackBerry going at a device to help appease those who are so intrigued by having a spec-driven device.
