If I'm in an app like BBM, Play Music, etc., a home button press either doesn't seem to do anything, or takes 10+ seconds to actually go back to the home screen. I can use gestures involving the home button, such as BB Hub, Google Now, and the recent apps and back buttons work fine. If I press the home button, the animation showing a button press is instant, indicating the screen is registering the button press.

I wasn't thrilled about having a home button again, but I was fine with it when it worked. Now, it's failing at least one in four times. Doesn't seem to matter if the phone is under load or not.

your priv seems to have slowed down, and this could be due to installation of so many apps. try uninstalling apps you don't use and see if the problem remains

That shouldn't be a problem at all since the Priv has 3GB of RAM, which is enough to handle many apps.

It's a very annoying issue with the BlackBerry Launcher. Hoping they fix it soon.

But not an infinite amount of apps. Games especially will eat that ram up like nothing..

So... why is there a Home button on this 2014/2015 BB10 device?

Why doesn't my home button respond for up to 10 seconds?-blackberry_classic_1.jpg

In fact, why does it have all of those many, many buttons, if buttons are so bad?

Those are no longer in production. And isn't it 2016??? Because a small minority wanted to feel like 2007 and whined for them.
