As one who stopped paying a carrier to carry me, I now buy my phones out right and unlocked so that I can do as I please, update OS as I please, etc. I find it amazing that most people living in a non third world nation don't have the cash or let alone credit to get a small loan to buy their phone out right! When you get a 'plan' from a carrier your paying through the nose, they are supplying your the credit to time pay off your phone, then when you pay it off they continue to charge the same high rate. The Passport did interest me into coming back to BB but I opted to get a Z30, Passport is a bit of a niche business phone that seemed best for a person sitting at a desk. I needed portability so it was Z3o for me. I really wish the next phone would have the same screen size of the Z30 but function just like the Torch, best of three worlds, portability, full screen with flick and physical keyboard!! Drooling.

I tried it but honestly it was too square / large for my hands. I love my Z30 and would like something the same size or slightly smaller even....even before Iphone 6 came out I thought 4.8 or 4.7 mat work....larger than Z10 but slightly smaller or at least lighter than the Z30.

Actually the sizes of both new iPhones would be ideal for a duo of BB10 touchscreens, 4.7" & 5.5". Well the 5.5 might be a tad big, maybe 5.2" for a Z30 successor.

I have to agree. Had my Z10 since February 5th 2013 release day. I'm not seeing the need to upgrade right now. Looking forward to seeing what 10.3 brings. I really am happy with the Z10.

I have to agree. Had my Z10 since February 5th 2013 release day. I'm not seeing the need to upgrade right now. Looking forward to seeing what 10.3 brings. I really am happy with the Z10.

I checked it out on Feb 5 and got my Z10 on Feb 13, 2013.

Anyway, if you haven't tried out a 10.3 leak yet, when you do finally get it on your Z10 it will feel like you got a new phone.

Since Nov. 13, 2014 - Works on metroPCS, I'm using in Pompano Beach, FL 33064 U.S.A.,,, That I currently have. BlackBerry Passport turn me off cause 1.) Non-Removable Battery!, 2.) microUSB port need a extra split adapter to be able to use microHDMI port to HDTV!, 3.) Disappointed that all internal spec on BB Passport were not made on the next Flagship "BlackBerry Z10 mkII" !, 4.) No Availability and does not work on Network carrier in South Florida metroPCS.

**Main reason, BlackBerry Z10. Came out in JAN 30, 2013 But was not released in South Florida til March 2013 for me to test and feel it out.. Also I had at the moment still the BlackBerry CURVE 2 8530/OS5.0 CDMA, since 2010NOV20..and I did not want to give up my keyboard feature yet - LOL. But I did not buy the New BlackBerry Z10 UNLOCK yet til DEC2013 cause I was saving up to buy Two BlackBerry Z10. Also my carrier did not support it yet this BlackBerry Z10 UNLOCKED on there Network. So from DEC2013 til 13NOV2014, I waited with a Brand New BlackBerry Z10 Cell, til my NETWORK finally was able to run on metroPCS/T-Mobile merge Network Support. Plus I was not in a rush to get rid of my BlackBerry CURVE 2 8530 used with my BlackBerry PlayBook 64GB/WiFi, all working great. I was not ready to Upgrade! - Now that I been working with my New Activated BlackBerry Z10 Since NOV 13, 2014 until now. As for the BlackBerry Passport, I was expecting a updated BlackBerry Z10 with spec's some what like BlackBerry Passport

For BlackBerry Z10 coming out 2 years ago and able to run alot of new OS10.1.0/OS10.2.1 updates and ready for the next redesigned OS10.3.1 and me upgrading from keyboard to my first ever touchscreen Cellular and trying some new technology. And also from iPhone 4s, 5s, 6 and even Samsung Galaxy 3S, 4S, 5S plus Samsung Galaxy Note 2, 3, 4...all these came out!! That even BlackBerry Z10 phone was Future ready / so advanced and still better then Apple iPhony's Crap and Android Samsunk. Even BlackBerry Passport, BlackBerry Classic(Q20), BlackBerry Z3 is nice but I was disappointed with all there spec's. That with all my research and testing plus using all these cells I still resorted to get the BlackBerry Z10.

The next Flagship cell BlackBerry OS10 type that comes out. I'm looking for close to spec's.

Wanted to switch to a Passport, ordered one, brought it to work, got told (and shown) that 9/10 of the apps we use now in our enterprise setup won't work on the Passport, sent it back to Amazon and kept an HTC One as my business phone.

The verdict?
No business apps makes the Passport a suboptimal business device, I sadly can't use at all at my current workplace.
And since I definitely have no desire to change my employer in the foreseeable future, I use what I need to use to be productive. Which funnily enough is an Android phone with a touchscreen and not a BlackBerry with a (gimped) keyboard.

My girlfriend hated it when I was typing on my bold 9900 in bed. Also in quiet places the keyboard makes too much sound. So for me no more keyboard phones, unless they make a new BlackBerry Torch, because that had also a good virtual keyboard.

My  BlackBerry Z10 Sure was the best & lasted til  BlackBerry OS10.3.3.2205, but the internal Storage 16GB I out grew it. LOL So after 4 years later I finally got my  BlackBerry PORSCHE DESIGN P'9982. It makes like having Four  BlackBerry Z10.
