I fully intended to buy it. Then a month before it was released, I got an RBC Mastercard because I wanted to use their mobile wallet. Found out it wasn't compatible with the Passport. Decided to think about it because I really wanted to wait for the white one anyway. Before that occurred, I fell in love with this truck.




Which I now own instead of a new phone because now I can't spend money like there's no tomorrow.

Bought the truck the day it started showing in November, sorry for the picture through fog and sleet, I actually have only seen the truck clean once, when I drove it off the lot. Maybe in the spring I'll know what color it is.

Depends, can the Passport carry lumber? I have a slight carpentry addiction and my supplies wouldn't fit in my Jeep no matter how hard I tried.

Almost just the money thing. I can't justify the cost of a brand new phone (any brand new phone), given that, for my use frequency, it is ultimately a very expensive toy.

That said: I would still have splashed out on one, if it hadn't been half-baked in implementing many of its core concepts - most noteably giving you a physical keyboard, but still covering up a third of the screen with a soft one/keymap_guide, in order to give you access to alternative keymaps (..and the associated shuffling around of screen contents, as these go up and down).
...and I will probably still "waste" that money, once the price, including shipping, falls below a level I determined when it came out. Reeaalllly close now. :P

Hopefully a 2016 edition of the Passport refines the concept, and gives us things like dynamic keycap glyphs. :9

I have not switched to the Passport because I'm not a keyboard person. I have played with one a few times & it is a very impressive phone but I still prefer a touch screen over a physical keyboard. Now if the Passport was made in a touch screen model count me in... Rocking 24-7 with my Z10 & 16GB Playbook

I made an offer to buy a Passport from anyone that got it during the coupon sale and were complaining about the delivery time. No one took me up on the offer. I guess the wait was worth the money saved after all. When the price did finally drop to the threshold I had set for myself, I had already bought a Z30 on sale. With Mobile World Congress (MWC) approaching in two weeks, I mind as well see what's up in the BlackBerry line-up for 2015...

ATT doesn't have it here in the states yet....no clue as to why not.

Being experienced in both touch and keyboard...I prefer touch, but would get the Passport so friends can say WTF is that?!?

1) I use Verizon as it is the carrier with the best coverage in my area.

2) I'm not going to settle on the limitations of BlackBerry any longer.

Money.. and plus reports of the screen lifting is delaying my decision even further. Though my plan for May still stands. I will make a run for it if there is no other phone coming out during that time from BlackBerry
