Google Gmail hit by Chinese hackers - World - CBC News

Google gets hit again by hackers, where it comes from is not as important as how many times its starting to happen. People ask if BB's are safe... Ask the president of United States. He thinks so, as do I. We've yet to hear of BlackBerrys having any security trouble. Its time to pay attention.

In the latest incident, Google believes Chinese hackers tricked people into sharing their passwords in so-called "phishing" scams.
"Victims get a message from an address of a close associate or a collaborating organisation/agency, which is spoofed," she wrote.

"The message is crafted to appear like it has an attachment with links like View Download and a name of the supposed attachment. The link leads to a fake Gmail login page for harvesting credentials."
Googles public statement makes it clear, these were phishing attacks and the targets responded with their Gmail Passwords.

Could the same thing happen to any email account used with your BlackBerry?

Nothing is secure... RSA was partially broken not that long ago (that's majorly bad for everyone).
