Hi
I just bought a blackberry bold 9000, it has the GPS enable. It was disappointed when I turn it on and noticed that my area map is incomplete, any idea where can I update the latest version? On more thing, I am from Malaysia, Sarawak, Kuching.

The maps used by BBMaps and Google Maps are downloaded in real time as you travel. Neither app comes with pre-loaded maps. So the maps you get are always the most up to date available, regardless of the version of BBMaps or Google Maps that you are using. Later versions of both apps may incorporate new features, but the maps won't change. Unfortunately neither app tells you the actual date of the map, so unless you are familiar with the area, you have no way of knowing if the map is current or not. Major metropolitan areas tend to be updated more frequently than rural areas, but in major cities with a lot of construction, the maps can easily be out of date. There's not anything you can do about it.
is there such a thing as a program with pre-loaded maps on the microSD card?
Garmin makes one for Smartphones, but I don't know if it works with BlackBerries. TrekBuddy is an app that lets you download maps in advance to your microSD card. It's intended to be used in areas where you don't have a cell signal.
