try craigslist for local sales.
Always meet the seller at your local ATT store to make sure the phone is in working/activatable condition

I have been very lucky with craigslist. I have probably bought/sold 10 phones over the past couple years on craigslist.

Craigslist is a very good place but be careful to test the phone before you make the trade or sale.

Verify the IMEI/MEID/ESN#/PIN with the carrier to see if it wasn't stolen and resold for cash.

Test out every single button to be sure they all work.
