Probably not assembled in china, if they were the phones wouldn't be so damn expensive. Canada maybe?

Most of the components are made in China or Taiwan. I don't know about the Q5 but to the best of my knowledge the Q10, Z10 and Z30 are assembled in Canada or Mexico.
Blackberry were made by Jabil Circuit in Mexico/China , nothing was made in Canada. Going forward with the Z3 and Q20 they will be made by Foxconn which has factories in many countries.

STL100-4s are made in Canada, I think. Every other BB10 device I've seen is made in Mexico.

Not true. I haven't seen any BlackBerry made in China. With exception of the battery assembled in China.

alot of components are made in China even if final assembly isn't. I believe the Q5 is assembled in Taiwan. Foxconn is based in Taiwan as well but as you know has huge factories in China. Also the same with other Blackberry ODM like Wistron and Silitech who supply components.

Taiwan still isn't China. But of course China supplies components for anything and everything

Taiwan is China, according to China it is a province of China. Only 23 countries in the world recognize Taiwan as a separate economical entity, Taiwan being one of them, for all the other countries Taiwan is part of China. That's why Taiwanese always say their products are produced in Taiwan. You can't blame them

I've had 3 Blackberry's but all of them are made in Mexico right on the other side of the world. When they produce it here in Asia it would probably be cheaper.

If they were made in North America that would be a chance for BB to promote them as such.... Given a choice I always buy American.... It would separate them from the rest...

My old 9700 was made in Hungary and the 9900 in Mexico.

It was always considered that the ones made in Hungary were of better build quality.
