Well.... When I worked for Radio Shack we had a couple of "pens" that would clean the contacts up and apply a conditioner to keep the corrosion from coming back. Revived several "dead" cell phones with those that the customer had given up for dead. Might want to check to see if they are still available. Ask for the contact cleaner pens. Get the ones that have a black and white label. I think the name was Pro-Gold or something like that... Been a while since I worked there. The Radio Shack branded pen with a blue and white label is nothing more than rubbing alcohol and doesn't do much.
