i just got the phone and whenever i try to turn on wifi the phone freezes for a second then shuts off. help plzzzz

Check for OS updates. If that doesnt work, return it and get a new one. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

Try a battery pull first. If you've installed any apps try uninstalling them one by one, always checking to see if the problem is fixed before proceeding.

I had this problem when I first got my phone, but it eventually ceased. I never knew what the problem was but I'm guessing it was a bad app or theme. Changing OSs didn't help me, but it's worth a shot. HTH.
