I thought that updates for the Keytwo were going to continue until 2022. When in 2022 do they stop and how will this affect my phone?

Patches ended in spring 2020 (with North American variants going to Aug 2021). Technical support ends Aug 2022.

I don't think there is any technical support left.
Six months ago, I had an issue my my Key2 (it was still under warranty), and I struggled a lot for weeks and months to find someone of that support team. Finally, they transfered my case to one of TCL managers.

    Thanks Conite et al,

My Keytwo is working well for now! I did note your recommendation for the Pixel 6 as a good value buy if things go wrong! I dread the thought of going without a PKB! Thanks again.

I guess that I will have to be first in line to purchase the CBK9000 - Silver Edition.

Yes, the manager was extremely helpful. He sent me a new sealed Key2 Red without requesting to send the defective one.

    No.

The KEY² and KEY² LE devices are from TCL, and will continue to have technical support until Aug 31 2022.

BB10 went EOL Dec 2019. BBOS went EOL Apr 2018.

The Jan 2022 date had nothing to do will EOL - it was only the date that backend services for BB10 and BBOS were finally turned off.

That was BlackBerry and their legacy devices.... they never had all that much to do with the KEY devices.

TCL closed BBMO in August of 2020. But they were required to provide one year of support in most markets, which ended in August of 2021. There are a few markets that require manufactures to offer two years of support... so there are some places where support technically won't end till 2022. Which is the same time BlackBerry is ending support for most of the device apps as well.

But "support" doesn't really extend to the OS...
