    Hi all,

    I have a blackberry that i bought from the states and i just recently activated my account with a regular data plan without contract. The browser runs completely fine, however when I am using whatsapp, it gets stuck on the initializing page stating: "sync error: currently insufficient network coverage..."

    i have set my apn to cmnet, however, it still has the same problem.

    can anyone please help. thanks!

    Do you have voice access and a plan for calls? you need a phone number for whatsapp. if it doesn't sense that, maybe that's what's keeping it from connecting.

    YES i do have a voice access number ? the problem is still there.
