16GB Playbook with a SE Xperia Arc as a mobile hotspot. Works very nicely when out and about and a lot easier to transport/use than my iPad is in public.
Perfect combo for me.
Bold 9900 - Great physical keyboard for typing long text, fast email, great call quality.
PlayBook - Great touch screen UI, good for entertainment, bigger screen for viewing documents.
Compliments each other nicely, doing what the other cant do.
Side note, i find the iphone, ipad combo a little pointless. When i was on an iphone, my thoughts on the ipad was basically its an iphone with a bigger screen. They are too similar in terms of function and doesn't compliment each other. Both full touch screen as well. what the ipad could do the iphone could as well. the only selling point of an ipad is the bigger screen. The ipad however could be a good combo if you have another brand of mobile phone. like a Bold 9900 with an iPad would be great too. benefits are similar to the bold 9900 playbook combo.
Though i would say the same for the full touch BB10 phone as well if it was basically a miniaturized playbook with phone function. I wouldn't get a full touch BB10 phone if i already have a playbook. personally, it would be pointless.
9930 and 32 GB Playbook. I just turned in my IPhone 4S after 13 days of use. Truly, I was ambivalent toward it. I wanted to see if it was as great as everyone makes it out but there was no "wow factor" and the thing was HEAVY especially with the extended battery case. I missed my keyboard and actually being able to close app's once and not twice with that blasted home button.
My daily professional-use smartphone and tablet combination is the BlackBerry Bold 9780 with a 32GB microSD card plus the BlackBerry PlayBook 16GB. Additionally, I have a BlackBerry PlayBook 16GB and 32GB and 64GB for research and testing in my forensic and legal research. The tablet has exceeded even my expectations in terms if versatility and utility but I always welcome improvements and support the developers of applications by purchasing those of utility to me.
I don't have a tablet (but I did get a circa 2005 tablet PC from ebay, due to arrive in the mail soon), but a netbook and desktop PC that runs Linux and windows xp, windows 7.
Bold 9930 and iPad. The devices are basically separate (unlike a BB and Playbook connection), but I love my Bold as my phone even though I like iOS. I get my email/bbm/text/facebook etc done on my Bold and games/apps/iMessage on my iPad. Even though they aren't necessarily in sync with each other, they complement each other perfectly imo.
Bold 9650 and 64gb Playbook. If the 9930 had an autofocus camera with close focus, that would be my combination. As nice as the 9900/9930 keyboard is, the 9650's keyboard is no slouch.
I can't wait to be able to use my 9650's keyboard for my Playbook.
