    I doubt they sold 500k BB10 phones.

Does anyone know the split between Priv and other phones in the 600k? I would think at least 1/2 the phones recognized were Priv, especially when you consider that Priv sales are recognized on sell-in, versus BB10 which are recognized on sell-through.
Nobody knows for sure, but let's look at the facts: BB Handsets sold excluding the Priv in Q2: 800k, Q3 700k, and now 600k total, the google play store says there's about 100-500k devices. So I think at best they sold 150k Priv's, the rest is BB10 and BBOS handsets.

I will use my z30 for awhile longer.

    Also have a z10, 9900 and 2 play books.

Getting real frustrated that most of my android apps are now not working or not working very well.

Have to admit that I'm pretty much done with BlackBerry.

The recent os update delay - well... it's getting comical.

    Will probably go Android.

I've had a BlackBerry since the 8310. I would go BerryDroid with the Priv (hence my signature) but I think my main pull is the physical keyboard so I will stay on the Berryship for as long as possible

I think BlackBerry has gotten BB10 to a better place than the Playbook was when it was abandoned. The Playbook still needed a few more updates IMO to keep it somewhat viable. BB10 is fairly stable at this point. Though there do seem to be little bugs starting to crop up. Hopefully that final update that sort those out.
Yeah they never really made running Android apps as easy on the PlayBook.

That said, there are already apps being made that don't work on Android 4.3. And most of the BB10 Devices are running on three+ year old hardware.

My new Droid showed me the difference that newer hardware can make.

    Hey friends!

I wanna know what are you up to?
Latest news tell us that BlackBerry will let OS10 die - at least for consumers.
What are your plans? Will you jump to the Priv?

I can only talk for myself - I'm done with BlackBerry.
I have stood behind this brand since 2005, went with them through all the "trouble time" between OS7 and the transition to OS10.
Now I feel fooled for being that loyal.

I won't follow them to Android and Android itself is not an option for me.
It always has been the opposite of what BlackBerry stood for.
The "worst-best" alternative for me seems to be iOS.

    What are you up to?
Sticking with OS10? Going to Android-Berry? Android in general?

I'm so frustrated right now - man 11 years of BlackBerry for me...

Being a Q10, Classic, and Porsche Design BlackBerry Graphite P'9983 user I clearly prefer a small phone. I've become use to iOS because my work phone was a 6s. I recently bought the iPhone SE which is the perfect size and with upgraded specs is a great replacement to BlackBerry's. While I'd love to use BlackBerry forever, it's become impossible at this point for me personally. I miss the HUB like crazy though.

brand new Classic arrived in the Post today.. LOL

not that I would need it right now, because my current and 16 month old 1st Classic is still my daily driver, but well, it always handy to have a nice new spare Classic ready to be activated in a drawer for times to come, and well the Passport on the desk typing this.

I wonder how many of the people who wrote "I'll use my (whatever BB10 device) until it dies" still use a Playbook? I mean I get the loyalty, but if over time the phone still powers on but slows to a crawl like the Playbook has you'll still seriously use it? Won't your productivity suffer?
I do, almost every day. I use it as I used it in 2012: watch live HDTV, listen to music, video chat, and read Kobo books. That's what tablets are for.
Websurfing is indeed slow, but passable.

They are pretty much useless for typing documents. The Passport is much better for typing documents.

The PlayBook was a great introduction to BB10, helped many people who waited for bb10 to smooth out the tradition from BBOS to Z10, and its form factor, sound quality, screen resolution, and overall look are still competitive, 5 years after its launch.

    You ain't wrong.

    I already own a Classic, Leap & Z10.

I also would love to get a Passport SE - but I at this moment I don't see a future for OS10 and +600 bucks is a lot of money for speculations.

This thread has really got me thinking... now with the news that BB will be announcing 2 mid range Android phones this year, I think I'll stick with my Passport til 2017. I'm sure by that time we'll have some solid news as to the future of BB10. If they say no more BB10 phones, then I'll look into Windows or Android.

Sticking with BB10 until it is no longer being patched. It does what I need, and I don't want anything more from my mobile phone.

In general, mobile apps leave me cold. I spent an hour at the corporate AT&T store, and I couldn't bring myself to spend even $50 on an Android phone.

I have an iPad and a small Android tablet that I keep at my desk to evaluate new apps and test websites, but as a consumer I don't use them at all. They simply don't enhance my life. I hate video on a small screen, and I see no reason to pay for mobile apps when I can usually get something better for free on a real computer.

Probably I'll reevaluate around mid-2017 to see if any progress has been made by Microsoft to release an intel-based device running Windows Pro. But currently I can't imagine ever switching to Android or iOS unless they radically improve the UI and work flow for business communications and support high capacity memory cards.

I really have tried to use iOS and Android. But their reliance on third party apps means that I'm forever jumping from app to app when I just want to manage communications across multiple email and messaging apps. If BlackBerry could really migrate the Hub experience to either platform, I would be interested, but I'm skeptical as to whether it can be done.

As has been posted many times before on CB...

The date on the box, is the date the phone was boxed.

The phone was built before that date. BB build phones in batches, and it has been sitting in a warehouse since the day it was built, until demand caused it to be loaded with the latest OS and put into a box with current promotional material ready for sale.

Alternatively, you can believe that there are production lines for BB10 phones running to this day.

    Your choice.
