Help a newbie decide: Whats the best phone and whats the best carrier?
Given what is known about the Niagara-Tour... and whats known about the Pre... and iPhone... etc...
On the day of the Tour's release if $ were no concern, and if any phone on the market would work on any carrier, what phone would you want and on who's network? (Under ideal circumstances with regards to the carrier, i.e. I dont want to hear about coverage concerns; figure that all such things are equal).
From what I hear EDGE (AT&T) is the best technology, and even when Niagara comes out the Bold will still be the best phone on the market... so getting a Bold today is still the best choice? Does that sound right?
It all depends on your personal preferences. I could argue that the Curve 8900 is better since it is smaller, has a larger amount of RAM, and supports UMA. But someone else will argue that the Bold has a larger screen and includes 1GB of built-in memory.
I haven't had a chance to update my Bolds OS but the bold would be stellar on ATT if the 3G would stay connected all the time. I find that the 3G on ATT is a bit faster than verizon. But the coverage on verizon can't be beat service everywhere.
