There's going to be 2 well known faces and the introduction of 2 major overhauls all vying for your custom at the end of this year. Who of these 4 competitors will you give it to, and why?

If I do upgrade this year or early next year, it will certainly be to a new BB10 phone. Have been proudly rockin BB's since March of 2008 and don't see myself leaving anytime soon unless I'm forced to.

I'm currently running a 1 year old android, rooted to work like a windows phone OS, so I'm basically having an ID crisis right now
iOS is not in the cards for me. They would have to overhaul their entire infrastructure to woo me over. So my eye is going to be on Android, BB10 and WP8. Although Android is starting to lose it's appeal for me lately. Too slow on updates, too fragmented across too many carriers and makers.

you do realise that probably half the people will be on contract and will have the same phone on new years day as they do right now?

don't nitpick. Seriously. Just pretend you have a choice if that makes you feel any better.

I'll see where they are at when that time is here for me. Right now I'm leaning towards BB10 first then win8. The other 2 aren't in the picture for me.

BB10. Currently there is no other platform that interest me. But maybe partly because we still know so little. But the PlayBook OS plus the ideas of Cascades does interest me.

WP8 looks nice with live tiles, look pretty, but I still doubt productivity with it after playing with it at the store.

I used to have an iphone and already have plenty of paid apps in their ecosystem, so if i were to go back, it would be pretty seamless, plus i use a mac. But I kinda got tired of the OS and typing on a touch screen. BBOS has pampered me with its efficient OS and productivity.

HTC One X interest me, but only the display. Not the OS, the plethora of android phones, and the slow updates.

I will be out of contract from September and it is my intention to get a new phone by mid Jan 2013. If not BB10 then I might return to Nokia and a Windows phone.

Way too early to tell for me. I just got my HTC Rezound and it's the best Android phone I've had. I'm very happy with it, but I can be pretty fickle.

If I have enough saved up (cash only), I'll decide afterwards. If not, I'll stick to my 9900.

Pretty much for me. I've used other platforms before and they didn't wow me.

I might get bored with Blackberry, but you just never know.

I will definatly keep my 9900/playbook and wait for bb10. I do have an upgrade available, so I will get the Samsung Galaxy Note (5.3") and keep my berries!

BB 10 on the day of release. Done.

That said, I was going to open a line on VZW to check out the RAZR Maxx (while keeping my 9810 as my real phone), but over at AC, the posters have been talking about missed texts, as well as smallish KB and fonts. No thanks.

It's April. New Year's is a long way off (or if you believe the hype, never even gonna happen ) Technology changes way too quickly for anyone to answer this poll.

At the very least you should have included a "How the heck would I know what kind of phone I am going to have in 8 months" option.
