I hope my question is understandable. I been wondering this. I run the 10.3 update on my Q10 and I have both Snap and Google Play on my phone. I only have maybe at the most 5 apk android apps downloaded out of the millions thats in the store. I'm not a big app junkie just a few things I need. But I noticed if you update certain apps from the store that need to be on lollipop or any other higher OS version, the apps won't work anymore. So this leads to my question hopefully it makes sense, but does anybody have a certain idea of what Android OS version we are running on this BB10 app compatibility??

Again sorry if my question isn't making any sense.

That's what I found when searching yesterday.... Developers got the SDK for Android 4.3 in May 2014, in anticipation of it's release with the Passport.

Getting that PlayBook feeling all over again.

Especially when I go to the BlackBerry Developer site and the first thing I see is Go Amazon....

    You can't.

However, developers on Android are still targeting Jelly Bean 4.1.2 since over 90% of the market's Android phones are compatible with apps written for 4.1.2.

As you start to make your app only run on 4.2 or higher, you quickly start to lose a very significant chunk of the market.

Heck... even Google recommends that it's developers target 4.1.2.

Bottom line, 4.3 will be able to run the vast majority of Android apps for a long time (as long as they don't require Google Play Services).
