If Foxconn is making it, I'm guessing it could have better specs than the Z10 (or at least equal) and still be cheaper than the Q5.

I also presume it will be have a physical keyboard, and look more stylish than the Q5 with a bigger screen.

It's quite reasonable indeed. I believe that it'll be a Z10, with 3G and perhaps 8 GB of storage. CPU may or may not be a 1.2 GHz S4 Plus CPU.

Bottom line is I also do think the specs will be pretty much up to par with Z10/Q10.

8GB of storage is too small anyway storage is so cheap these days. Here in Asia 16 GB storage retail at less than USD 10. I believe that Foxconn will definitely buy it much cheaper maybe USD 1 or something.

Hardware gets cheaper and faster over time, so it is hardly surprising to see "Jakarta" devices better and cost effective than Z10. I hope BB will augment this range with "Jogja" devices that runs on Android, and why not. My simple proposal to Chen to change the course of business.

Depends on the specs. IMO, price should be the same or less (preferably) than phones wih similar specs.

How awesome would it be if there was a good running BB10 phone for $100-150 unlocked, which would make it real entry level and budget, with specs that surpass the competition with similar prices.

I think that statement can be made in any country/carrier the Z30 has launched in so far. Too bad Chen wasn't in place to halt it until 10.2.1 was ready, or kill it before release to get a hardware/software release that can be successful. Not saying it isn't good, but it isn't good enough to sell itself. Maybe sales will pick up when more BES10 severs go from "test" to live.

You don't have to, the z30's abysmal sales speaks for themselves (or lack there of).

I had a friend offer me his for �200, I promptly turned him down.

Maybe sales will pick up when more BES10 severs go from "test" to live.

The Z30 is an awesome phone, regardless of specs, it performs, problem is not many know this, I blame advertising and marketing, you can't expect a smartphone to sell itself.

The new lower priced BB10s need to blow away the competition in price, performance, and build quality (many lower priced phones feel and look cheap).

I think $300 is too much, if the focus of the Jakarta is for emerging markets. I'm thinking that $200 would be a good price.

Just a wild guess: US$199 equivalent. Breakthroughs are possible. Just look at the lens manufacturer Tamron which will be selling their supertelephoto 150-600mm, VC lens in mid January for the astounding price of $1069. Meanwhile Canon's and Nikon's supertelephoto cost as much as a subcompact car. Granted we are comparing apples and oranges, but Tamron's lens specs have gotten a lot of photographers atwittering.
