There's no use in staying in the same level with ios and android. BlackBerry needs to just come up with something new way ahead of the game like iphone did to BlackBerry in 2007. When your so advanced, people want to catch up with the trend. Being the first means that developers want to jump that bandwagon. I'm calling it right now...Apple will fail eventually. Everything apple has done the past 4 years are products of Steve jobs.

Steve jobs set out plans until 2021 and cook is just leading like "what would Steve jobs do?". when a company hires a new ceo, the best way is to look for someone who's not within the company like chen. They view things better because they are willing to change what they see going wrong. While hiring a ceo within the company wants to do things the way they've always been done.

Quite simply, smartphones are reaching their limit much like HDTVS reached theirs with the paper thin foldable tvs that samsung did. It's like, where do you go from there?

BlackBerry has that hidden talent to succeed or else it wouldn't have survived all these years and you can see what former employees have done when they left BlackBerry like the one who ended up creating kik messenger.

Create a digital phone with full body hologram conference calls like star wars or something. You know? That would make apple sh** in their pants like "how did they do that?!" former BlackBerry ceo quote lol.

BlackBerry is good at listening to the fans but like Henry ford said, "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses"

How cool would it be if they skipped the next level and instead took it to the NEXT next level? Because for all we know, other companies are working on the next level but when BB comes out with something at the NEXT next level they'll be all "Whoa!".

Are you serious? BB is the absolute worst at listening to what their fans want, unless you think the Leap is something that everyone was asking for or the "re-launch" of the 9900 that was a complete disaster.

As far as resources go to make something spectacular, BB has the least amount of resources and talent than pretty much every other major player in the market, because they've chosen to get rid of all of those types of people.

There is nothing really left to innovate hardware side for any manufacturer.

The big thing used to be having large screens, but you know everyone has that now. As for the screen resolution, you don't really need above 1080p, but phone manufacturers have nothing to show as innovation, so they just increase the resolution, even at the cost of the precious battery life.

As for cameras, most cameras from 2013 already meet the need for the majority of the users.

How abt fully dockable phone which can be used in place of a computer for business users. How cool would it be if you can dock your phone to a desired size monitor and base unit, separate a piece of phone to use as mic and ear piece when phone rings. No need of blend. No need to carry a notebook.

Only other thing I can see is flexible displays which can be folded. But I do not think BlackBerry has anything left in them to take risks and innovate.
