I'm not a heavy fb user myself but what exactly are you missing from the current BlackBerry fb app?

I'm actually pretty happy with the current BlackBerry facebook app, it is not laggy at all for me.

FB app update in the Beta Zone app fixed all of my issues works great on both my Z30 and Q10.

The FB is terrible. That said, it doesn't bother me enough to cause me to put away my Q10. I suffer through it and wait for a meaningful update.

    Maybe somewhat contrary post here:

I don't like the fact that my Q10 is difficult to navigate. Meaning, within apps and between apps the lack of physical keys and all of the swoopiness can be a problem.

Also, the lack of business apps is depressing. Even some apps I still have on my 9900 can't be gotten on BlackBerry 10.

When I dial a number by number, hitting the enter key does nothing. I have to click the number on the screen. That's dumb.

And I have to admit that though I have had a BlackBerry consistently from the 8800 forward, I am not a die hard BlackBerry fan. I keep them for the no nonsense approach to GTD. I have also always had a recent model Android phone. IMHO BlackBerry is superior in build quality and function to all Android and Apple phones (always had an iphone... all versions... too). I have to keep an Android for billing, better business apps, etc.

What I like best about BlackBerry is Crackberry. When I was really down on BlackBerry, Crackberry was always there. When BlackBerry appeared to be going bankrupt, Crackberry was there. When I wanted some new ringtones... Crackberry. when I wanted the latest OS... Crackberry.

BlackBerry and Crackberry are a good combination.

Yesterday, an iCrap fan was making fun of my Q10, referring to the screen size and elegance of his little jewel. I asked him to send me an SMS. When he started, I held my Q10 next to his iPhone 5S... with the keyboard up (which is the normal mode for business use), his screen was the same size as mine. he had to click and pick to set me as the recipient, click again to start typing, correct his typos. Point made. Then I noticed he had maybe 10 percent battery, so I made a show of swapping my battery. Point driven home. He had some advantages too, mainly apps, but I don't play games or watch movies on my phone so I didn't care.

The native app is nonsense for me, no matter what it shows in news feed is about 2-3 hours behind.
OS10 has been out for over a year, it's time they step up the game.

For me it would be the contacts set up. I have the problem of duplicate entries. The other thing would be my Z10 battery life. Other than those 2 issues I am happy with my Z10.

    I've got 10.4.0.14.

Can't get into the Beta Zone, crazy weekend. Moving furniture around, buying a couple of pieces, staining....

    Project filled weekend.

I really don't have an issue with it ... and yes, I do use the Android version on my Kindle and my iPhone version on my iPhone. Perhaps it's the way I use Facebook, but I really don't find this ebola type experience on BlackBerry and this glorious massage-your-soul experience on the others. It's Facebook.

They do constant updates to it as well.

Isn't glorious or earth shattering, but does the trick for me. Certainly doesn't annoy me like - say LINK does.

The only compromise with using the mobile browser is lack of notifications. I used this route on my Android when their app permissions became invasive - permission to read texts, emails, and to watch you use the bathroom.

Yes, BlackBerry Fb app has never been great. It seems to be getting better but it is a long road to go yet. Personally, and I've said this in Beta Zone, I think the best thing for BlackBerry to do is make a native Cascades version of the app. Ditch the Fb look and feel while keeping functions and go native with a dark theme.

Aside from some functions missing, the biggest issue is the newsfeed.
