I keep hearing about not using the voice dial. Mine works wonderfully. I use it all the time when i have my bluetooth on and am driving especially. but there are alot i dont use. all i use is
voice dial
phone
sms
brickbreaker
bbm
I never use:
Maps (I use Google Maps instead.)
Password Keeper
Help
Documents to Go
Flickr
Compose
Saved Messages
Some apps that I've seen mentioned here that I actually do use are:
Voice Dialing (but only when I'm on my bluetooth)
Visual Voicemail
Brickbreaker
Song ID from Verizon
I think that AT&T should set it up so that those apps/features will just delete themselves from your phone after about 6 months if you don't subscribe to them.
The worst thing about all the AT&T garbage is that you can't get rid of it. Why force a bunch of worthless software on us that nobody will ever use? Sure, like everyone else I hide all the icons but that crap is still on my phone wasting precious space.
i have a folder called useless icons and it contains: rogers mall, help, yahoo messenger, google talk, search, weather setup, "Do More"(whatever that is), and it also has icons i dont see a point to like the power icon, keyboard lock, the volume icon (i use a zen theme with the volume always shown on home screen) and my three email icons (i just access through the main messages icon)
The GPS mapping is always so slow. Takes 3-4 minutes to connect, then you can't use it for driving, bike riding or anything. It can't keep up. I use my Garmin and delete the GPS maps immediately.
I have never used Password Keeper due to having SplashId.
I deleted Brick Breaker and Word Mole back in December.
I have never used any of the VZW things that were pushed, No need for them.
I have never used Voice Notes...
The games are a waste of space. Everytime I get a new BB I'm sure to erase those and a couple other items. Kinda feels like doing a fresh install on a windows machine.
Games? Does BlackBerry do games? Is it as good as PSP? If not, why bother?
They are good as something to do while on the toilet or in the waiting room at the Doctor.
But the things I use the least (I have actually set them to be hidden) are
-Voice Notes recorder
-Voice Dialing
-Blackberry Maps (I use Google maps instead)
-Alarm Clock
-Memo pad
I also have several other things hidden that can be accessed more conveniently other ways such as "Compose" or "Phone" or "Camera/Video Camera"(accessible through the side convenience key)

I have Garmin as well, I deleted BB Maps as soon as I loaded Garmin up, which was December as well.
The shorter list for me is what do I use:
- BBM
- Olive Tree Bible Reader
- Slacker Radio
- E-mail
- Shazam
- Clock (Gotta Wake Up Somehow).
- Browser
- Phone Application (2-3 times a Month)
- SMS (Rarely)

Maybe that's a RIM issue... the little space it uses shouldn't make it precious. If RIM would work on their memory issues, it would be all good to hide them (even if they were installed).

So there you have it.
agreed all the carrier pushed items get moved to a folder so i dont notice them at all.
