I posted this article yesterday in the news section and it was for some reason taken down?

This was the news article: What Everyone Is Too Polite to Say About Steve Jobs

Too provocative for the sensitive community on Crackberry? Really?

This troubles me (actually I'm pissed) much if one of the moderators did take it down, if so why? Crackberry is now censored from such "risque" material? Are we children and can't handle adult articles? If true, total BS.

We'll see if it gets took down again.

Actually, I Posted once and it was taken down... For no reason.

I Posted a second time to ask why it was taken down to have that thread moved and closed.

I posted a third time because the first post was taken down... For no reason. There was a glitch and it posted twice for some reason that I am unaware of.

I am glad you can count tho. What's after 4 little Johnny?

If my first post was not deleted or removed by the Crackberry Police, then there would have been no need for this which is actually the issue here, not because I reposed something that shouldn't have been taken down in the first place.

If it was taken down, there should be a logical explanation other than someone is playing moral police. (Ironically that sounds a lot like the practices of Apple and the late SJ). If I know what the ground rules are on here then I can make the choice in the future just not to participate on here and waste my time.

Because that article will spark flaming at this time. Right now people are trying to show respect for the man and for the great things he did. Posting an article that shows his evil side (we all know he did some really sketchy things) durring a time of mourning is asking to be flame bait.

Waiting a while would probably have been a better choice. Even Smasung and Google are waiting to announce their new Nexus device out of respect. At least wait until the man has been in the ground for a bit before you start tearing him apart.

I suggest PMing a Mod as well. Trying to publicly call them out may not bring the best results. Again, something that has to do with respect.

Moral police? Why, because they don't sell porn on the App Store? That isn't exactly convincing.

I think you choosing not to participate would prevent the waste of both your time and ours.

I didn't write the article and it does not reflect my opinion. Its not my problem if folks are not adult enough to handle the truth. Really, you and everyone is in mourning? People need to grow up.

Good debate and dialogue is all I was going for. To actually think now people are getting into flame mode over an article is redonkulous. Curious to know what the waiting period would be before having such debate over truths and facts? 1 week after, a month? a year? This article was written because it is relevant NOW.

Never said I was in mourning, but if you haven't heard the new, the tech industry basically is.

I do see the article as good debate. But it is pretty obvious to see why the article would start a war at this point. ****, the article on the front page of CB about Jobs passing had the comments turned off due to potential flames, and the Steve Jobs passing thread has already been cleaned once or twice.

I am not saying you would start a war. Most people can read that and handle it like adults. But, there are many people on the internet who can't, and those people will be all over that thread like white on rice. Especially at this point in time when Steve Jobs death is the center of attention in the media.

I really don't see how it is hard to understand this. Flaming starts in threads trying to show the good in someone, it will sure as **** start in the ones trying to show the bad.

You have been here since 2009 . By now, you should know that on this site, flamewars happen over the littlest things.

That and the fact that this doesn't relate to any BlackBerry news or rumors. Obviously the blog post on the front page was posted for respect & condolences, as was Laura's thread. But there's no need on filling up BlackBerry forums with differing opinions of Steve Jobs. This should've been posted in the existing SJ thread and surely doesn't require it's own thread. What's done out of kindness shouldn't be misconstrued for people to think we're going to allow threads unrelating to BlackBerry just because you feel entitled to do so when in fact you're not. You don't have a "right" to post here. It's a privilege. Furthermore, if you have issue with a thread being deleted or move, the correct recourse would be to contact CrackBerry staff and inquire about what happened. Not make more threads ranting about it.

    Well said Crucial.

I think you can see the result of posting this, then complaining, OP.

Also, this particular section of the forums is for BlackBerry related news.
