    I'm looking for a beater phone, with about a 3.5" screen (don't want it too big) that will primarily be used as a running/skiing/biking/beach, ect device. I just don't want to have to worry about it. The one I have my eye on is the xperia Go. Does anyone have experience with this or similar devices? Only uses will be navigation, fitness apps, occasional messaging and music playback.

    The only thing I can come up with is the Same with you, xperia go, though I never used it but I know that it's a very tough phone =)).

    Just buy an iPhone 4s and get the Otterbox Armor case for it. That would be my recommendation. I think all of the "tough" phones out there even now are getting to be pretty big.
