I seem to be having some problems with my BB messanger. How do you add someone and how is BB messenger better than TXT???
    Also I can't txt a picture mail
How do you do it ? It routes me back to BB messenger and then when I click on add it takes me to my address book and then I click on someone in my address book to add and it says send to messenger contact and there is only one name in my contact and I can't add.

Things I am trying to do

    1. add contacts to messenger - can you add non BB users?
    2. Sending picture mail as txt
    3. send picture mail to non BB users as txt

Anyone that can help I would be grateful. Those idiots at sprint are no help!!

    bbm requires a data plan

    1. only to bb users requires a pin only bbs have pin
2&3. you can send a pic through bbm but to send a pic through text you need mms

I think you're right, only MMS with an OS upgrade.
MMS = Multimedia messaging service. (Picture and Video messages)

Sprint does not offer MMS. OS upgrades won't give you MMS either. Sprint has a problem with their routing.

    1. You can also add a contact by hitting the menu key (while in BB messenger), then hit "Add A Contact...". Only BB's can be added to BB messenger.

    2. & 3. You can send pics through BB messenger. Also, there is a work around for sending pics kind of like MMS: Select the pic that you want to send, hit "Send As E-mail", then send it to the person's # + their provider's MMS address.
Example, If I sent the pic to someone who's carrier is Sprint, it would look like this: [email protected]. Here is a list of some of the carrier addresses:

    Sprint- #@Pm.Sprint.Com
    Verizon- #@Vzwpix.Com
    Cingular- #@Mms.MyCingular.Com
    Us Cellular- #@Mms.Uscc.Net
    T-Mobile- #@Tmomail.Net
    Nextel- #@Messaging.Nextel.Com
    Alltel- #@Message.AllTel.Com
    BoostMobile: #@Myboostmobile.Com
    VirginMobile: #@Vmobl.Com
