BlackBerry reportedly in talks with Cisco, Google, and SAP to sell off portfolio | CrackBerry.com

    Posted October 4...

"BlackBerry has also expressed interest in potential deals with Intel Corp, LG and Samsung, and are currently awaiting a response by early next week. "

Early next week from then would have been last week

But the press release also says...

"Private equity firms that have showed interest in BlackBerry - which also include Cerberus Capital Management - have asked the company and its advisers to provide additional financial details about its various business segments, two of the sources said. That process could take another few weeks, as BlackBerry focuses on taking bids from industry peers, the sources said."

Intel, LG, and Samsung are supposed to respond in a week. Not SAP/Cisco/Google. The latter three companies have already expressed preliminary interest.

The company, based in Waterloo, Ontario, has asked for preliminary expressions of interest from potential strategic buyers, which also include Intel Corp and Asian companies LG and Samsung, by early next week.

Even then, it is not stated whether the response is only to BBRY or whether it would be released to the public.

    I. Want. Answers. NOW. *red face*

Is BlackBerry 10 going to have a future and does that future have any chance of involving consumers and not getting the app situation worse than it already is? I'm dying to know.

Well when 10.1 was on the eve of its release there was a very clear picture of what 10.2 was to offer in the future.

Do we have the same for 10.3?

    That may answer you question.

I think it is going to be interesting to see who might take a shot at acquiring our beloved BB. Time will tell, but hopefully it works out.

Meh. There is no point worrying about it. We'll know when we need to know, not before.

We'll know when everyone else knows, including buyers on eBay who will auto-adjust their willing-to-pays. That's never a good thing.

And true, 10.3....more is known about intelligent life on other planets OUTSIDE our solar system.

Tell that to the people who make thousands of dollars off of used iPhones. I sold my iPhone 3G for $600 and my 3GS for $750 back then. I guess I was an ***** when I had a good return on my investments.

Er, yeah, OK. We're not talking day one scalping. Unless you found some tool who paid more than the original 32Gb 3GS no commitment price of $699 after one year, cause if you did, well done ripping him off.

Ah yes, the quintessential CB know it all. I f you don't need to worry about it, no one does.

Many people choose to go through multiple phones. It is their personal choice. I can get a brand new Z10 on Verizon from Ebay for ~$250. So, if someone bought a Z10 hoping to trade it out in 6 months, it sucks to be them. Some used Z10s are going for under $200.

This time they are numbering the next release 10.2.1. So we know about the next release, but I'm not sure if that answers the question.
