I think BlackBerry could do quite well if they worked hard supporting the F1 team. Keeping phones active and regular competitions is one excellent way to get their products in view when the team is at the forefront of the competition.

I think BlackBerry is getting quite a bit of bang for their buck in sponsoring the Mercedes race team... Unfortunately is seems like that was all they had in the marketing budget. This gets their name out there, but it does little to show device and what they are capable of.
1) they need to work out whatever deal needs to be done to make Google Play official!
2) they need devices at the right price points with the right features.
3) they need to MARKET they heck out of the features that sets them apart and that people are not aware of.
Not a big fan of F1, but I like to see BlackBerry on the TV screen :)
