    Hey guys,

I recently lost/got my BB 8900 stolen and am getting a new BB. Now...I can get a new BB 8900 for free, but do you think I should wait for a BB Bold 9700 for Tmobile at a discounted price? Let me know your opinions!

    Thanks

It will be great, when it shows up. Do you want to go for a month or two without a device? How are you getting a new 8900 free? I think if I was getting a device that good free, I'd take it, then get the 9700 when it drops.

What kind of phone insiance you got? Free mine still cost me 150 bucks on insiance claim, luckily all mine have been covered by warranty so it only cost 16 bucks to make the warranty claim.

+1 on this... I wish RIM would make an 8900 for CDMA so I could get one thru USCC... they could call it the 8930!
Oh well.. the Tour is coming soon anyways.

I'd go with the 8900, it's one of the better devices RIM is offering, loved by many. I'd stick with that.

Hmm, I would go with the 8900 since its free, the only difference between the two is 3G and keyboard, if you really need 3G then wait, ig not jus get the 8900

I don't need 3G but isn't it a plus? What is a major difference between bold 9700 and curve 8900? Just 3G? And trackpad?

I don't consider the 3G to be a major plus over the 2+G of the 8900. I've had a 3G phone before and don't see a huge difference. Also since I have access to Wifi, I really don't miss the 3G at all.

The only issue I have with the trackball is sometimes when I push down on it, it may roll actually selecting a different option than the one I intended. But its not that big of a deal.

I'd definitely go with the free 8900. It's an excellent device.

I'd wait esp because you have a back up device to use until the 9700 comes out. The 9700 with 3G, small form factor and sexiness is worth waiting for.

It's if you renew your contract for 2 years. I renewed mine not too long ago. I'm saying I can get it free because I know someone who can get me a free one so yeah. BUT I did get the one that was stolen FREE also. My contract was up for upgrade and I found a place called "Cartoys.com" and the upgrade price is $50 with a $50 mail-in rebate.
